A Trade Union is a group of Employees that come together. Together they ensure that the Employer is not the only one who has power in the Workplace. If you zoom out, the union is therefore the total number of people who are members of the union.

The right to organize in a trade union that defends your interests is enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 23.
